Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a fundamental system for pollution source prevention, playing a significant role in promoting green, high-quality economic development and the construction of a Beautiful China. As the reform of the EIA system progresses into the 15th Five-Year Plan period, there is an urgent need to conduct research on EIA system theory based on complex systems and interdisciplinary integration, expand EIA practice areas, and empower traditional EIA work methods and techniques with digital technologies. To this end, Nankai University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Institute of Environmental Impact Assessment will jointly host the “Conference on EIA for the Construction of a Beautiful China cum the 7th China Environmental Assessment (EA) Forum” from June 25 to 28 2025, in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
