Introduction
Hong Kong enjoys valuable opportunities brought about by The Greater Bay Area (GBA) in I&T development, as well as in the integration of STEM (the acronym for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) in the workforce and in the field of education. The HKSAR Government is stepping up efforts in I&T development with additional resources. Policymakers are highlighting the urgency to ensure student persistence and success in STEM education, and student preparation for the STEM workforce. These opportunities have prompted Hong Kong to develop its specific characteristics in STEM education. In today’s webinar, the speaker and discussants will share their research and views on the following:
– K-12 STEM education in Hong Kong
– Ways to prepare youth for future study
– Career choices in a STEM field
