
Professor Siu-lun Wong, Honorary Senior Research Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies, passed away on 2 December 2024 at the age of 77. Members of the HKIAPS extend our deepest condolences to his family.
Professor Wong obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Hong Kong, MPhil from the CUHK, and DPhil from Oxford University. He was an authority on various aspects of family firms. His research interests focused on the study of entrepreneurship, business networks, Chinese society and culture, Hong Kong social indicators, and the development of sociology in China. Professor Wong was devoted to raising the public’s interest in Hong Kong’s society and history. He led the Hong Kong Museum of History’s Public Lecture Series for 15 years. Professor Wong received the HKSAR’s Silver Bauhinia Star in 2007 in recognition of his significant contributions to Hong Kong.
哀悼黃紹倫教授
香港中文大學香港亞太研究所榮譽高級研究員黃紹倫教授,於2024年12月2日離世,享年77歲。亞太所仝人謹向黃教授的家人致以最深切的慰問。
黃教授先後取得香港大學社會科學學士、香港中文大學社會學碩士、英國牛津大學哲學博士學位。他是家族企業研究領域的權威,他的研究興趣集中在企業家精神、商業網絡、華人社會文化、香港社會調查與分析、中國社會學的發展。此外,他致力於推廣香港社會和歷史的研究,他帶領香港歷史博物館公開講座系列至今已屆15年。黃教授於2007年獲頒香港特別行政區的銀紫荊勳章,以肯定其不凡貢獻。
