江西位處中國中部地區，是唯一緊鄰長珠閩經濟區域的省份，地理優勢突出，再加上當地豐富的自然資源和低廉的生產成本，使江西成為投資的寶地。江西在新世紀初即脫胎換骨，經濟發展於「十五」期間取得史無前例的突破。進入新一個五年規劃期，江西目標再創高峰，爭先在中部崛起，實現富民興贛的理想，本文將簡述江西在「十一五」的社會經濟發展主要方向。港贛素有聯繫，自簽訂《內地與香港關於建立更緊密經貿關係的安排》以來，雙方關係更見緊密。在「十一五」規劃的框架下，香港如何利用本身的長處，並配合江西的實際需要及優勢，加強兩地的聯繫，實現互利雙贏？本文將交代港贛目前在投資、貿易及旅遊業上的合作，並嘗試探討在未來的港贛合作中，香港所獲得的機遇和面對的挑戰。

The Pan-Pearl River Delta Region and Hong Kong under the 11th Five-year Plan Research Series: I. Jiangxi and Hong Kong

Situated central China, Jiangxi is the only province adjacent to the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta and the Minnan Economic Region. In addition to this geographical advantage, Jiangxi’s rich natural resources and low production costs have made the province a hot spot for investment. Since the beginning of the twenty-first century and during the period of the 10th Five-year Plan, Jiangxi has been making great progress in economic development. In launching a new Five-year Plan, Jiangxi is aiming at another breakthrough — a rise in the economic status of the central region of China and long-lasting prosperity. This paper will highlight key directions in the economic and social development of Jiangxi under the 11th Five-year Plan. Traditionally, there has been close contact between Hong Kong and Jiangxi. Since the implementation of CEPA, their relationship has become closer. This paper will discuss how Hong Kong, under the framework of the 11th Five-year Plan, can make use of strengths that are consistent with the real needs and the advantages of Jiangxi in order to facilitate mutual cooperation and achieve a win-win situation. It will also give an account of the cooperation between Hong Kong and Jiangxi in investment, trade and tourism, followed by a discussion of both the opportunities and challenges facing Hong Kong in further cooperation efforts with Jiangxi in the future.
